Parents and teachers may experience a mixture of compassion and frustration as they work with children who have been exposed to chronic trauma.
These children may have trouble building trusting relationships, controlling their emotions, and developing the academic and social-emotional skills necessary for success.
This class will help educators and parents:
1. understand how trauma impacts brain development
2. recognize children’s trauma-related academic and social-emotional skill gaps
3. learn Positive Discipline tools to help children close those gaps as they develop skills for thriving at home and at school
*This class is targeted to parents and educators of children of all ages.
**A 1.5 hour certificate of participation will be issued for those who need certification/parenting class hours.
*This class is online, through Zoom. Once you have registered, I will send you the link to the Zoom meeting and handouts for the class.
